We moved from solid brass to high-strength stainless steel. With superior strength, stainless steel could be hollowed while maintaining load-bearing integrity. Through precise engineering, we defined the optimal wall thickness—balancing safety, durability, and extreme weight reduction.
The greatest technical challenge: ensuring a hollow chain felt solid. YIBI engineers deployed three critical techniques:
- Internal Micro-Reinforcement: Tiny internal ribs at key linkage points ensured firm connections and eliminated unwanted noise during movement.
- Seamless Welding and Polishing: Laser precision welding followed by multi-step mirror polishing created joints undetectable to the eye or touch.

Raw stainless steel felt too cold and modern. To replicate brass’s warm, luxurious glow, we developed over 10 rounds of electroplating and PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition) color tuning.
